Occupy Our Homes Baltimore is acting in solidarity with Occupy our Homes around the country by uniting communities against foreclosure and eviction.

Baltimore has been particularly hard hit by the big banks’ predatory lending and fraudulent foreclosure practices. Now it is time to take a stand. As our first action, we will be helping Lila, a woman living on the West side of Baltimore, fight back against her eviction that is scheduled for January 10.

Occupy Our Homes Rally and Move in Event:

Sunday, January 8
2-4pm, 1433 W Lombard St, Baltimore, MD

We will be rallying to support Lila Kara in advance of her scheduled eviction on Jan 10th. At this event, come meet Lila and hear her story! Bring a house-warming gift, a potluck dish or your well wishes. Come learn about the Occupy Our Homes movement, discuss the foreclosure process, eviction and the struggle for decent housing. Help decorate the house as we come together as a community to show the bank that this home is occupied.
